Welcome to Hooked by Kharis.
These Terms of Service set out the terms that apply when you browse, use or purchase from the Hooked by Kharis website. By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these terms.
Please read them carefully before placing an order. Nothing in these Terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.
1. About Hooked by Kharis
Hooked by Kharis is a handmade crochet business based in the United Kingdom.
Throughout these Terms, “Hooked by Kharis”, “HBK”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Hooked by Kharis.
“You” and “your” refer to the customer or website user.
2. Our Products
All Hooked by Kharis products are handmade.
Because our products are handmade, each item may have small variations in size, shape, texture, colour and appearance. These variations are a natural result of handmade production and are not considered defects where the item remains as described and fit for its intended purpose.
Many of our products are produced in small batches or are one-of-a-kind pieces. This means that once an item has sold, it may not be recreated exactly.
Product photographs are intended to provide an accurate representation of each item. However, colours may appear slightly different depending on your device, screen settings and lighting.
We make every reasonable effort to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, measurements and prices are accurate.
3. Product Availability
Products are subject to availability.
As many of our products are handmade and produced in limited quantities, an item shown on the website may sell out quickly.
We reserve the right to correct obvious errors in product information, including pricing or availability. If an obvious pricing error occurs and you have already placed an order, we will contact you before fulfilling the order.
4. Custom Orders
Custom orders are available on selected products and are subject to availability and our acceptance of the request.
When requesting a custom order, you are responsible for providing accurate information, including colours, preferences, measurements and any other specifications required.
A custom order will only be considered confirmed once the details have been agreed and payment has been received, unless otherwise agreed by us in writing.
Because customised and personalised items are made specifically for you, they may not have the same cancellation rights as standard products. Where an item is genuinely personalised or made to your specifications, the statutory 14-day cancellation right may not apply.
This does not affect your legal rights where a custom item is faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise does not meet your statutory consumer rights.
5. Placing an Order
When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the products in your order.
You will receive an order confirmation by email once your order has been received.
Your order is accepted when we confirm that your order has been accepted or when we dispatch the goods, whichever occurs first.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where there is a genuine reason to do so, including where an item is unavailable, there has been an obvious pricing error or we suspect fraudulent activity.
If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, you will receive a full refund for the amount paid.
6. Prices and Payment
All prices displayed on the website are shown in pounds sterling (£), unless otherwise stated.
The price payable for your order is the price shown at checkout at the time your order is placed, together with any applicable delivery charges or other charges clearly displayed before payment.
We accept the payment methods made available at checkout.
Payment must be successfully received before your order is processed, unless another arrangement has been agreed with us.
7. Discounts and Promotional Offers
Discount codes and promotional offers are subject to the terms stated at the time of the offer.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, discount codes cannot be combined with other offers.
We reserve the right to withdraw or amend promotional offers where necessary, subject to applicable law.
Once an order has been placed, a discount code cannot normally be applied retrospectively.
8. Handmade Production and Processing Times
As every Hooked by Kharis item is handmade, processing times may vary depending on the product, current order volume and whether an item is made to order or is already in stock.
Any estimated processing or dispatch time displayed on the website is an estimate unless a specific delivery date has been agreed with you.
For made-to-order and custom products, processing may take longer than for ready-to-ship products. Any relevant timeframe will be communicated on the product page or during the ordering process.
We will make reasonable efforts to keep you informed if there is an unexpected delay.
9. Delivery
Delivery options and estimated delivery times are shown at checkout.
We are not responsible for delays caused by postal or courier services after an order has been dispatched, although we will reasonably assist you in dealing with delivery issues.
You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.
If an order is returned to us because an incorrect or incomplete address was provided, additional postage charges may apply before the order is resent.
For international orders, the customer may be responsible for customs duties, import taxes or other charges imposed by the destination country.
These charges are outside of Hooked by Kharis’ control.
10. Risk and Delivery
Responsibility for the goods remains with us until the goods are delivered to you or to a person you have nominated to receive them, except where you have independently arranged a carrier that we did not offer as an option.
Once delivered, you should inspect your order as soon as reasonably possible.
If your order arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible and provide photographs of the packaging and item so that we can investigate the issue.
11. Returns and Cancellations
We want you to be happy with your purchase.
For eligible non-personalised products purchased online, you generally have a legal right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods without giving a reason.
If you exercise this right, you should notify us within the applicable cancellation period and return the goods within the required timeframe.
Returned items should be unused, in their original condition and with any original packaging where reasonably possible.
You are responsible for the direct cost of returning an item when cancelling under your legal cooling-off rights, unless we have agreed otherwise or the item is faulty.
We may make a deduction from a refund where goods have been handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.
Custom and Personalised Orders
Genuinely personalised or custom-made products are generally exempt from the statutory 14-day cancellation right because they are made to your specifications.
This does not affect your statutory rights in relation to faulty, damaged, misdescribed or otherwise defective goods.
Faulty or Damaged Items
If your item is faulty, damaged or not as described, please contact us as soon as possible.
We will assess the issue and, where appropriate, provide a repair, replacement, refund or other remedy in accordance with your legal rights.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes your rights under applicable consumer law.
12. Refunds
Where you are entitled to a refund, we will process it using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed or required by law.
Refund processing times may vary depending on your payment provider or bank.
Where a return is made because you have changed your mind, original standard delivery charges will be refunded where required by law. Any additional cost for an enhanced delivery option may not be refundable.
13. Exchanges
We do not guarantee exchanges for a different product, colour or size.
Where you have a legal right to return an item, you may return it in accordance with our Returns Policy and place a new order for the replacement item.
14. Product Care
Customers are responsible for following any care instructions supplied with their item.
Because our products are handmade crochet items, appropriate care is important to maintain their appearance and condition.
Hooked by Kharis cannot accept responsibility for damage caused by misuse, improper washing, excessive stretching, snagging, exposure to unsuitable substances or failure to follow the care instructions provided.
This does not affect your legal rights where damage is caused by a manufacturing fault.
15. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including but not limited to photographs, product designs, logos, branding, graphics, written content, product names and other materials, belongs to Hooked by Kharis or is used with permission.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, sell, republish or commercially use our content without prior written permission.
Purchasing a product from Hooked by Kharis does not transfer ownership of our designs, branding, photographs or other intellectual property to you.
16. Website Use
You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes.
You must not attempt to interfere with the operation or security of the website, introduce malicious software, gain unauthorised access to the website or its systems, or use the website in a way that could damage Hooked by Kharis or other users.
We reserve the right to restrict access to the website where necessary to protect the website, our business or our customers.
17. Website Accuracy and Availability
We aim to keep our website accurate and available, but we do not guarantee that the website will always be uninterrupted, error-free or completely up to date.
We may update, change, suspend or remove website content, products or features from time to time.
18. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
In particular, nothing in these Terms excludes or limits your legal rights relating to faulty, unsafe or misdescribed goods, or our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
To the extent permitted by law, Hooked by Kharis will not be responsible for losses that are not reasonably foreseeable or for losses caused by events outside our reasonable control.
19. Events Outside Our Control
We will not be responsible for delays or failure to perform our obligations where this is caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.
This may include, for example, significant postal or courier disruption, natural disasters, severe weather, power outages, supplier disruption, technical failures, industrial action or other events beyond our reasonable control.
Where this happens, we will take reasonable steps to minimise the impact and keep you informed where appropriate.

When you place an order or use our website, your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
